Day 7 - Review Your Morning Routine Regularly
Creating ideal habits and a routine for your mornings is greatly beneficial. It allows you to be proactive in doing what you need and want to, without having to spend too much energy and time pondering. That’s a wonderful thing!
The reverse is true as well. It can also be harmful if you’ve been focusing on unconducive behaviors and are in the habit of doing what doesn’t assist you in reaching your goals.
When we get into a routine, sometimes it’s challenging for us to stop and ask ourselves if it’s working as well as it can. Even more importantly, with a routine and a group of habits firmly established, it’s easy to keep moving in the same direction, even when circumstances change.
That’s why it’s important to set aside some time now and then to review our habits, including our new morning routine.
Schedule some time every few weeks, or even months, to review your routine. Mark it on your calendar and make a promise to yourself that you will do this assessment.
It won’t take long and it’ll be a really valuable exercise in the long term. It’s normal, our lives and circumstances change continuously.
Our routines should also be adjusted accordingly. Just because a habit or routine has served us well over a certain period, doesn’t mean it will go on doing so.

Evaluate Your Morning Routine Regularly
When you sit down to review your morning routine (or any routine or habit you’ve been acting on for that matter), ask yourself this:
Is your morning routine working? How well is it working?
If it is, simply keep it up. If a particular habit or your routine is no longer serving you well, you may want to make some changes and tweak it. Do so until you discover something that works better for you at that specific point in time.
Another way to evaluate your morning routine is to determine what you love about it and what you’re not so keen about. Change it accordingly until you get as close as possible to loving everything about it; while still experiencing the results you intend.
Remember, this morning routine will change and evolve over time as you, your circumstances, and even the people in your life do. Embrace the changes and see them as confirmation that you’re making progress.
Keep tweaking and improving your morning routine and don’t be afraid to combine your aspirations for it.
Reprioritize When Necessary
Initially, maybe you began your morning with making exercise a priority. As time goes by and you become healthier, you might change its position and make time for it later in the day. Your focus may shift to meditation or reading a new book.
Keep evolving, changing, and using those precious first few hours of each day to create positive change in yourself and people around you.
This is the key to love life your way! Living by conscious design is walking the path of least resistance…one step at a time.
