Day 1 - Positive impact of a morning routine
So, why is a morning makeover plan vital to your well-being?
Because each new day brings brand-new opportunities that present you with an opening to start out fresh. Not only do you do more of what you want, but you also feel better and better about your life.
Mornings can help you co-create a reality in which you experience more fulfillment in ways that make you love your life more and more.
How you begin your day, or more specifically how you invest in those first few morning hours, will have a significant impact on the remainder of it. Consider it as setting the tone for your entire day. That’s why making over your morning routine is so important. It’s about far more than those first few hours.
Getting up in the morning…
I’m sure you’ve experienced this yourself.
For example, let’s use the snooze button scenario.
Before going to sleep, you set an early alarm to ensure you’ve got time for things like exercise, meditation, or just some much needed “me time” (with Self-Love).
You’ve got every intention of getting up and doing whatever you planned to when you initially set your alarm.
Some mornings – hopefully, most mornings – you rise up when the alarm rings and choose to go on that morning walk, do your meditation practice, or read your favourite book for twenty minutes.
Then there are those days that you just can’t seem to get yourself up from bed no matter how hard you try. You hit the snooze button multiple times or turn the alarm off altogether and return to sleep.
Think about how the remainder of those days went. Did you notice any difference in how you felt?
How much did you get done on the days you got up at the first sound of your alarm compared to rising after repeatedly hitting the snooze button, or sleeping in? Were you able to complete everything you wanted to at the outset?
It’s not only important at what point you rose up from sleep, but also what your consciousness was at that time. Were you excited about the day to come, or did you have a feeling of dread in the pit of your stomach?
Morning routine sets the tone for the rest of your day…
If I had to take an ‘educated’ guess, I’d say that you experienced much smoother days when you got up as soon as your alarm rang. I would be willing to bet that you accomplished most, if not all, of what you planned to on those days (provided they were realistic goals).
The likelihood is that sleeping through the snooze button didn’t just affect your morning, but it also influenced how you experienced the remainder of your day.
First thing in the morning is when you set the tone of how your day can unfold. This is where the old saying about “getting up on the wrong side of the bed”, comes from. Be or become the person that rises from the “right” side of the bed to begin your day in a more positive and productive way.
Over the duration of the next seven days, you will be guided through a process of making over your morning routine to experience more peace, joy and fulfillment throughout your day. You will come to not only know but practically experience first-hand the benefits of sticking to such a morning discipline.
Who knows, maybe the once dreaded sound of your alarm will now become music to your ears as you leap out of bed into your life of wonder!
Tomorrow, on Day #2, check your Inbox to begin the process of defining your perfect morning! See you bright and early!
This is the key to love life your way! Living by conscious design is walking the path of least resistance, one step at a time…
