Yesterday and this week mark the soul elevation of Yosef HaTzaddik.

While his story is thousands of years old, it continues to act as a living mirror for our spiritual evolution today.

Yosef was gifted: a prophetic dreamer, favoured by his father, and admired for his beauty and brilliance. But he was also misunderstood, and perhaps unaware of how his gifts were perceived.

When his brothers sold him into slavery, the surface explanation was jealousy. But deeper still, it was the pain of feeling unseen and unchosen that fractured their bond.

And Yosef?

Before he was ever thrown into a pit or prison, he may have already been living in a Golden Prison of Consciousness —surrounded by blessing, yet disconnected from the humility and awareness needed to steward it.

I know this terrain…

Years ago, I was contracted by a major corporation. The pay was excellent. The prestige was evident. But the role asked nothing of my soul. My voice was quieted. My creativity shelved. Day by day, I felt myself withering in a polished, high-paying ‘golden prison’. It wasn’t abuse—it was spiritual neglect. 

Eventually, I made the terrifying and liberating decision to walk away. Because I realized:

One cannot fulfill divine purpose in a space that doesn’t ask for the soul.

Yosef’s journey echoes this truth.

His descent into slavery was not punishment—it was preparation. It forged in him humility, service, discernment. Only then did he become not just a dreamer of visions, but one who could actualize and steward dreams for others.

Yosef, in Human Design, aligns with the Sacral Center—a source of creative life force. In Kabbalah, this is the sefira of Yesod, the storehouse between the spiritual and physical worlds.

In my own chart, I have a defined Sacral Center, meaning I carry consistent creative energy, and my decision-making authority is Sacral. What does that mean?

With Sacral authority, aligned decisions don’t come from logic or pressure. I must respond NOW — with a clear YES or NO. My decisions must come from that “uh-huh” or “uh-uh” re-sounding feeling—never from the mind.

We’ve all been conditioned to think our way through life. As a result, we often choose from the mind, rooted in fear, ego, and “shoulds.” However, the mind is not the master. The truth is, the mind is the prison. Your body is your compass. There is no grey area. This is sacred discernment.

Your Design knows the way.

For those with open Sacral Centers, the energy isn’t consistent. They amplify what they receive from others. This is why we’re drawn to certain people—not from logic, but soul chemistry. Our energy systems are designed to interact, awaken, and elevate each other.

So I ask you:

— Where are you shrinking to stay safe instead of shining in service?

— Where are you stuck in a Golden Prison—comfortable, even admired—but disconnected from your purpose?

— Where are you ignoring your Human Design, trying to operate like someone you’re not?

Yosef’s rise teaches us: You are not here to just be blessed—you are here to become a blessing.

And that doesn’t happen in ease or ego. It happens in surrender, in alignment, and in the courage to walk away from what no longer calls your soul forward.

So how do we apply this wisdom now?

Ask yourself:

Where in my life am I being called to serve, but I’m shrinking to stay safe?

Where am I stuck in a “Golden Prison,” waiting for someone else to see me, save me, or set me free?

Where have I mistaken ease for alignment, and comfort for purpose?

Yosef’s story shows us that light without integration can isolate us.

That discomfort, rejection, or detours are often the Creator’s way of sculpting our soul into its higher expression.
