Coming up with new empowering morning rituals is beneficial, but for many people, it doesn’t feel so easy to do.

Are you ready to consciously design a morning routine that works best for you? If yes, then you’re in the right place.

Following are 5 ideas for you that have been proven to work well for others as well.

You are encouraged to consider all the various practices and then choose the ones that resonate most with you.

5 Empowering morning rituals-1

1. Mindfulness Meditation

Do you wake up in the morning with what seems to be a million different thoughts swirling around in your head? If you do, then don’t worry, as this is a pretty common experience with today’s quick-paced living (even during the pandemic).

The problem with this is that these thoughts can overwhelm you and cause your stress levels to elevate. You need to bring calm to your being and get into the moment.

By practising mindfulness meditation, you can better ground yourself in the moment and obtain the clarity that you’re looking for.

It is not difficult to learn how to practice mindfulness meditation. There are many videos on how to do this on YouTube for example. You will be surprised at how quickly you can master mindfulness meditation and then use it every morning to your advantage.

5 Empowering morning rituals-gentle exercise

2. Gentle Exercise

You must get your body moving in the morning. Gentle exercise will help to get your heart pumping and improve your circulation. Simple exercises such as stretches can really make a big difference to your health.

Another beneficial form of gentle exercise is walking outdoors. Get up earlier in the morning and take a walk. Something that anyone can do is breathing exercises. Go online and find the right exercises for you to do in the morning.

5 Empowering Morning Rituals-Gratitude

3. Gratitude

Expressing your gratitude for the things that you have in your life every morning is a powerful thing to do. It will set an appreciative tone for the day. Most people overlook the power that expressing gratitude brings and we strongly recommend that you include this in your new empowering morning ritual.

It is a good idea to make 3 different gratitude statements each morning. You should find it easy to come up with ideas for this. Recall the people in your life that you appreciate and are grateful for. If you’re currently working with a team, then show gratitude for this, even if it is not the best job in the world right now. It helps you take care of yourself and family.

Be grateful that you have another day to enjoy and make a difference with. Look around you and be grateful for the things that you have in your life. Express gratitude for your health and your mental well-being.

5 Empowering Morning rituals-exercise your mind

4. Exercise your Mind

In addition to maintaining your physical health, it’s just as important to look after your mental health. So, we recommend that you do something each morning to exercise your mind. For example, make a commitment to learn something new and valuable every day.

To exercise your mind, you can purchase puzzle books for adults or find brain games and teasers online. Starting the day off with a challenge like this is very empowering. Read a book that will give you a different perspective on life or watch a video on YouTube that will teach you how to do something new.

5 Empowering Morning rituals-journal

5. Start and Maintain a Journal

If you do not currently use a journal to record all of your ideas and thoughts, then it might be a good time to start now. You can use a spiral notepad to get started or a more decorative journaling book.

Write your aspirations, WHY statement and daily tasks in your journal.

Make a journal entry every morning. For instance, write down what you want to achieve for the day. You can use your journal for your expressions of gratitude as well.
